VGP – The Ministry of Finance has decided to cut the retail price of A92 petrol by VND 800 per liter to VND 21.900 (around US$1). The diesel price was also reduced by VND 650-700 per liter.
The decision was made following a joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Meanwhile, the import tax of petrol is increased by 3% to 7%.
Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue said fuel prices are regulated in order to harmoniously ensure the interests of the State, businesses and consumers.
This is the third reduction within a month thanks to decreasing prices of energy on the global market.
