OVs in Germany hold new year music festival

The Vietnamese Consulate General in the German city of Frankfurt has held a music festival to welcome the 11 th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

The event, the third of its kind, was attended by about 1,000 overseas Vietnamese (OVs) and representatives of Vietnamese businesses and organisations in Germany.

At the event, Nguyen Huu Trang, the Consul General in Frankfurt informed those attending of the fine developments in Vietnamese-German ties and said he hoped that the OVs would further integrate into German society as well as preserve Vietnam’s cultural identity.

On the occasion, the organising board also sold new year calendars, with the proceeds being donated to flood victims in the central region./
