(VOV) - The Vietnamese embassy in France has given EUR8,566 and US$2,140 to victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
All money was raised by Vietnamese labourers, businesses, retirees, volunteers, students and staff of the country’s representative offices in France.
Vietnamese ambassador to France, Duong Chi Dung, highly appreciated the actions of OVs towards the fatherland and considered their gifts to be both practical and meaningful for AO/dioxin victims who are suffering.
Nguyen Duc Khuong, a Vietnamese student in France, said the students association will hold an event in September or October to learn more about the AO disaster.
The event is expected to call on French friends to further support AO/dioxin victims, he said.
