The Japanese Nissin Foods Holdings Company will soon start the construction of an instant noodle plant in Vietnam at an industrial zone, 35km North of Ho Chi Minh City with total investment of 3.4 billion Japanese Yen (about US$ 41 million), revealed the American Wall Street Journal.
According to statistics, in 2009, Vietnam used 4.3 billion noodle packs, so standing standing 4th in world rankings, only after China, Indonesia and Japan.
Vietnam is a promising market with 60% of its population is under 30 years of age.
The plant is expected to be operational by June 2012.
