A new VND2.2 billion (US$110,000) primary school paid for the East meets West Foundation and Philip Morris, Viet Nam, opened in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta Province of Can Tho yesterday.
The Trung Hung primary school has seven classrooms for 261 students and has been equipped with a potable water system and clean latrines.
The foundation has co-operated with relevant agencies to build 306 kindergartens and primary schools across Viet Nam during the past 22 years. — VNS
