VGP – The National strategy on food hygiene for the 2011-2020 period with a vision towards 2030 was approved by the Prime Minister.
The strategy underlines the importance of ensuring the rights and health for consumers and responsibilities to be held by food producers and entrepreneurs.
Under the strategy, by 2015, 70% of food producers and entrepreneurs will have to comply with the regulations on food hygiene.
By 2015, 70% of consumers will be equipped with knowledge about food hygiene.
The strategy also aims to reduce 25% of severe food poisoning cases by 2015.
By the time, 100% of food processing sites, 40% of food and service business establishments, and 80% of collective kitchens will have gained food hygiene certificates. The condition will be put under control in all supermarkets. In addition, a half of markets will be checked for food hygiene.
By 2030, all food producers will have to observe the regulations on food hygiene. All consumers will have access to knowledge about food hygiene./.
