(VOV) - The Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs held a conference in Hanoi on May 8 to launch the 2011-2015 national program on gender equality with the aim of making a breakthrough in social awareness and behaviour in the field.

The program comprises five projects, relating to awareness and behaviour, state management, capacity of female deputies to the National Assembly, support for areas affected by considerable gender inequality, and development of consultancy systems.
Participants in the conference discussed ways to remove hindrances to the program, which will be adjusted to suit the concrete conditions of each locality.
The total investment for this national program is VND955 billion, of which VND790 billion is sourced from the state budget. Progress resolving gender disparity highlighted
