(VOV) - The National Junior Gymnastics Championships 2012 officially kicked off in Hanoi on June 12.
This year’s event has drawn the participation of 60 young athletes from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong and the Military, including 20 women and 40 men.
The gymnasts will compete for 50 sets of medals in the freestyle, still rings, high bar, parallel bars, balance beam and uneven bars.
Male competitors are divided into age groups ranging from 8 to 18 years, while females will compete in age groups from 8 to 15 years.
The tournament will last through to June 13.
