More than 230 pupils and students representing 51 teams from 49 provinces and cities and two sectors are taking part in the two-day contest.
The contestants were divided into primary, middle and high school level groups to compete for 36 regular awards and 15 creative software prizes.
There were 112 outstanding software programmes from 20 provinces and cities submitted to this year’s contest, up 36% compared to last year.
The annual event was held jointly by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the Ministries of Education and Training, Information and Communications, and Science and Technology; the Vietnam Association for Information Processing and Vietnam Television.
