Nhan Dan Online – Nearly 600 players representing 31 teams from across the country are taking part in the 2012 National Youth Chess Championships in Ho Chi Minh City from July 12 to 24.
The participants are divided into age groups ranging from U-7 to U-20, and competing in both men’s and women’s standard, rapid and blitz events according to the nine-round Swiss system.
The annual event is a great opportunity for the national youth team to select promising young chess talents to prepare for future regional and world competitions.
