PANO – The “Festive Days for New Students 2011” program, with a slogan “First Solid Step to the Future”, opened at the hall of the National University in Hanoi on October 8th and 9th by the Communist Youth Union of the University of Foreign Languages, in association with the Student Assistance Centre of the University of Economics and the MH Vietnam Company.

PANO – The “Festive Days for New Students 2011” program, with a slogan “First Solid Step to the Future”, opened at the hall of the National University in Hanoi on October 8 th and 9 th by the Communist Youth Union of the University of Foreign Languages, in association with the Student Assistance Centre of the University of Economics and the MH Vietnam Company.

The program is part of meaningful activities to welcome 5,600 new students from the Hanoi National University and more than 20,000 from other colleges and universities in Cau Giay and Tu Liem districts of Hanoi.

Apart from an academic equipment exhibition of 12 publishing houses, reference books, textbooks and stationery sold at preferential prices, the organisers also held 7 seminars on study and research experiences, and studies by credit to students.

Moreover, leading psychology experts also provided participants with more information on first-hand experiences in a new environment, friendship, love and juvenile health.

Students also voted online the Ha Long Bay as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.

Especially, the highlight of the program was the gala evening which drew many art performances presented by new students and popular singers, such as Thai Thuy Linh, Duy Khoa, Minh Kien Beatbox and Linh Phi.

In the opening ceremony, the organising panel also offered many gifts and scholarships “Green Dream” to top freshmen and needy students with good academic records.
