National Defence Academy receives emulation flag from Prime Minister

PANO – National Assembly Vice-Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan offered an emulation flag from the Prime Minister to the National Defence Academy at its 2011-2012 school-year ending ceremony on July 20th.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the unit’s Party Committee and leaders, Lieutenant-General Vo Tien Trung, Director of the Academy, appraised the unit’s activities in the school year 2011-2012.

Accordingly, the Academy opened seven courses for more than 200 high-ranking officers from military zones, arms and units in the whole army. Besides, the unit also offered five courses for national defence and security to 286 officials of the Party and State and 16 courses to officers of the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodia Army. At the end of each class, 100 per cent of students meet expected requirements.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan praised great efforts of cadres, lecturers and cadets of the National Defence Academy, especially in presenting courses to the army’s generals and core officials of the Party and State. She also hoped that in upcoming time, the Academy continues to bring into play its achievements to build up and consolidate the whole-people defence and the people’s armed forces, research and innovate new teaching and learning methods in accordance with the national defence strategy in the new situation, and take the lead in training officers and educating national defence and security to nationwide trainees at all levels.

To students in the Academy, Ms. Ngan asked them to continuously improve their professionalism for their jobs after graduating.
