PANO - The National Archives Centre IV in Da Lat City, in association with the State Archives Department, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented a set of woodblock of Tran Hung Dao’s “Hich tuong si” (Call of Troops) to the Nam Dinh People’s Committee on April 20 th .

The “Call of Troops” text carved on three wooden blocks is a part of the ‘Dai Viet su ky toan thu’ (Complete Annals of Dai Viet), a book about the history of Vietnam from the 13 th to 17 th century.

At that time, the rare woodblock set is the oldest known woodblock written in Chinese ideograms. It contributes to inspiring the national pride, educate patriotic traditions to younger generations and introduce Vietnamese history to international friends.

Previously, Bac Ninh Province also received photos of woodblocks containing the text of King Ly Thai To’s ‘Chieu Doi Do’ (Royal Edict for Moving the Capital).
