Nam Dinh - My Loc route opens to traffic

Nhan Dan Online - An inauguration ceremony for the Nam Dinh - My Loc route was held in the northern province of Nam Dinh on June 28.

The ceremony, jointly organised by the Nam Dinh provincial People’s Committee and TASCO Joint Stock Company, is one of several events to mark the 750th anniversary of Thien Truong - Nam Dinh.

The six lane road, 48 metres wide and 3.9 kilometres long, has a speed limit of 80 km/h and is one of the most modern routes in the south of the Red River Delta funded with a total investment of VND500 billion (around US$24 million).

The Nam Dinh - My Loc route is part of the first phase of the 25km Nam Dinh - Phu Ly road project which will cost a total of VND3,000 billion (US$114 million)

According to TASCO, the project will be completed and open to traffic in 2013, linking with the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh highway and helping to facilitate the trade exchange among Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ha Nam provinces.
