The National Power Transmission Corporation (NPT), on November 22nd, started operating the second 500kV-450 MVA transformer of the 500kV Nho Quan Transformer Station in Dong Phong Commune, Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh Province.

The Nho Quan Station was put into operation in 2004 to provide electricity to additional charge lines in the Northern provinces.
To meet the growing demand of Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh as well as promote the stabilisation of the transmission grid system, NPT installed the second 500kV transformer at the Nho Quan Station with a total investment of VND 220 billion loaned from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
