Speaking at the closing session, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said after 10 days, the NASC had completed the working agenda, considered and decided a number of important issues such as the basic contents in evaluation and implementation of the 1992 Constitution; making suggestions for six draft laws and focusing on contents to improve the legislative body’s operational efficiency as well as discussing plans for the upcoming third session of the 13th National Assembly to be held in May.
The NASC also discussed plans to allocate capital resources from Government bonds in 2012 and issues related to national target programmes. Also at this session, the NASC approved two important draft ordinances to reform and improve the quality of judicial work.
The NASC also conducted question and answer sessions involving ministers of health and home affairs. People from across the country were able to supervise the discussions, contributing to improving the transparency and effectiveness of the National Assembly as well as increasing the public’s trust in the National Assembly and Government.
The National Assembly Chairman also asked the drafting committee to co-ordinate with the relevant agencies to prepare amendments and supplements to the 1992 Constitution.
