A photographic exhibition on landscapes and people from mountainous areas has opened in Hanoi in celebration of next week’s holidays.

Themed ‘The colors of mountainous regions’, the exhibition showcases 70 large-sized color photos captured popular sites and the lives of local people via the lenses of elderly photographers and young reporters of Vietnam News Agency.

Minh Dao depicts Sapa trong
suong (Sapa in mist) in a romantic and mystical style. Ban Mong vao xuan (H’Mong village welcomes spring) by Van Phuc captures the cheerful colors of rosy peach blossom gardens.

At the opening ceremony, Nguyen Duc Loi, general director of Vietnam News Agency, said journalists had successfully recorded the beauty of the nation and local people.

All photos on display here give viewers an insight into the livelihood of local residents who have been working hard for bumper crops in mountainous regions in the country.

The exhibition runs until May 1 at Exhibition House 45 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
