(VOV) - On July 4, more than 680,000 candidates began their first day of university and college entrance exams for subject groups of A and V.
Group A includes mathematics, physics, and chemistry, while group V comprises mathematics, physics and drawing.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the country has 107 universities with a total of 25,630 exam rooms set up at 989 locations. The number of candidates registering for the exams reaches 74.83 percent.
Over the past few days, young volunteers have actively assisted candidates and their relatives find temporary accommodation and guild them to exam locations. They have also worked together with traffic police to ease the increasing congestion on the road so that candidates can get to exam locations on time.
Bui Van Ga, Deputy Minister of Education and Training emphasized the need for exam councils to strictly abide by regulations on equal treatment of candidates.
