PANO – Border guard units in the southern coastal province of Khanh Hoa have presented 110 houses of gratitude and three public facilities to needy people in remote areas.
Representatives from the province’s Border Guard and the Vietnamese Fatherland Front met on Tuesday to review the campaign to support needy people in border and island areas and presented merits of certificate to outstanding groups and individuals.
Since 2008, these units have raised hundreds of millions of VND from businesses and individuals in the province. Border soldiers and officers have also donated more than 200 million VND and spent 1,820 working days on house construction and presented 440 items of clothes, 620 notebooks and other studying facilities to children in flooded areas.
