More flyovers to be built in Hanoi and HCMC

(VOV) - The Hanoi People’s Committee has urged the municipal Department of Transport to start building more flyovers in May to ease traffic jams.

The flyover at the intersection of Le Van Luong Street and Lang Road is scheduled for completion by October 10, and another at the Nguyen Chi Thanh and Lang Roads junction is expected to be put into operation before Lunar New Year 2013.

Construction on other flyovers will begin in late June, including those at the Dai Co Viet-Tran Khat Chan, Chua Boc-Pham Ngoc Thanh and Bach Mai-Le Thanh Nghi intersections.

*** The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport said that two new flyovers at the Hang Xanh and Thu Duc crossroads will be built in June at a cost of VND100-130 billion.

After completing these two flyovers, the city plans to build two more over Lang Cha Ca Street in Tan Binh district and Cay Go Street in District 11.
