After two weeks of excavation at Vinh Hung tower in Bac Lieu Province, the locality’s museum has discovered more artifacts including two objects made of stone, a copper object and a brick floor covering an area of 25 square meters, reports Tuoi Tre.

According to Bui Chi Hoang, member of the National Cultural Heritage Council, the tower was discovered by a French archeologist in 1911 and experts also found some artifacts for worshipping purposes at this site.

In 1992 during the first excavation at the ancient tower, antiques related to Buddhism and strange objects of the Oc Eo culture were discovered.

After the latest excavation, Bac Lieu Province’s museum will hold a scientific seminar and will restore these new artifacts.
