A Canadian food festival will kick off at Hanoi’s Hai Cang restaurant on Saturday under arrangement of the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam.

The festival is to celebrate National Day of Canada on Sunday. It will be hosted at many restaurants in the capital including Don’s Tay Ho, Hai Cang, Asahi Sushi and Nam Phuong.

During the month-long event, participating restaurants will offer unique Canadian cuisine, ranging from tiptop beef to a vast array of fresh seafood and others. On Wednesday top chef Donald Berger presented Canadian food at Don’s Tay Ho restaurant in 16/27 Xuan Dieu Street in Tay Ho District.

Canadian ambassador to Vietnam Deborah Chatsis said: “We hope Vietnamese organizations and consumers will consider Canada as one of leading food suppliers in the country.” A similar festival will take in HCMC at the end of the year.
