HSBC Vietnam and Bao Viet Group started a project of offering mobile libraries for needy students and primary-school students in the central city of Danang on September 10th.
Representatives from the Danang Department of Education and Training, HSBC Vietnam, Bao Viet Group and more than 400 students from the Ngo May Primary School in Danang participated in the project launching.
Under this project, 136 mobile library sets will be provided to 136 schools for the service of 58,000 students across Danang city over three years, from the 2010-2011 academic year.
Each library set, consisting of 275 books relating to Vietnam’s literature, cultural education, references and entertainment will be sent to a school and available free for local children under 12. A new library set is rotated Each semester.
Co-organized by the Global Village organization and the Danang Department of Education and Training, this project aims to create a healthy and educational playground for thousands of children and teachers.
