A mobile exhibition, “Love in the War”, opened in Thanh An Commune, Can Gio District, HCM City last Friday by the HCM City Border Guards and HCM City War Museum.
This two-day event displayed 19 panels containing documents, photos and exhibits relating to love between couples of Vietnamese soldiers during the resistance war against French colonists and American imperialists.
Along with the exhibition, a mission from two of the above units offered free healthcare check-ups and medicine to 200 local people. Besides, gifts, valued at nearly VND 40 million were offered to 600 primary and secondary students in Thanh An Commune.
Notably, a drawing contest was also held for primary students in the Commune under the direction of reputed designer Si Hoang.
Designer Si Hoang had selected 20 best paintings that he would later present in his coming Ao dai collection for children.
