Model Vinh Thuy, Vietnam’s represent to the Mister International contest this year, has received some sage advice from last year’s winner, hometown hero Ngo Tien Doan.
“The jury at Mister International is very strict,” said Doan, who won Mister International last year and will sit on the contest’s judges panel this year. “They mark not only the contestant’s figure but also his behavior, attitude, mind, emotion and viewpoints. Thuy must ready at anytime because the jury will notice everything he does from the very first step.”
Le Xuan Vinh Thuy is one of Vietnam’s top up-and-coming male models. He first hit the spotlight as the first runner-up in the male category at the Vietnamese Supermodel Contest held last June.
Standing 1.85 meters and measuring 103-77-99, fashionistas regard Thuy as Vietnam’s new hope for a beauty crown in the international arena. He will compete at Mister International in Taiwan December 9, vying for the title with 70 candidates from countries and territories around the world.
Miss World 2009
Even as Thuy prepares for Mister International, female model Huong Giang hopes to keep the national flag flying high at the ongoing Miss World 2009.
Huong Giang’s confidence would have been boosted by her first runner up ranking in the Top Model and being part of the top 12 in the Beach Beauty contests that are part of the Miss World pageant.
The website globalbeauties.com predicts that Giang can be in top five this year, giving her the opportunity to put in Vietnam’s best performance to date at the world pageant that will have its big night on December 12.
Compatriot Lan Huong, meanwhile, was the fourth runner-up at the international Miss Model of the World held in China last week. She was also made the “Favorite top ten of the press” list and was awarded “Best evening dress” at the contest.
