(VOV) - Vietnam’s Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien attended a Ministerial Leadership in Health (MLIH) forum held at the Harvard School of Public Health from June 3-6.
Among those present were world famous leaders, such as former Chilean President Michaell Bachellet, Managing director of the United Nations Women’s Fund, former Prime Minister of Mozambic, and former health ministers from the UK, Turkey, Thailand and India.
The forum provided a good chance for world health leaders to share experiences in building a sustainable medical system and improving healthcare services.
At the forum, Minister Tien was nominated one of Havard health leaders along with 15 other ministers from different countries in the world.
The nominated candiates expressed their strong determination to renew policies to improve people’s health.
During her stay in the US, Minister Tien held round-table talks with US businesses, including representatives from GE Health Care and GlaxoSmithKline which are operating in Vietnam.
She also worked with Harvard and Boston universities on cooperation in training medical human resources for Vietnam.
