(VOV) - Top Vietnamese player Nguyen Tien Minh has move two notches up to 10th position in the latest ranking of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) position after one month.
Minh ranks second at Australian Badminton Open
With his 54, 204 points, Minh now needs another 4,000 points to become world No.8. This is a huge challenge for him as his rivals will compete fiercely for berths to the 2012 London Olympics.
Minh has already secured a place as players in the top 50 are all qualified.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s doubles Bang Duc and Manh Thang (World No. 54) are also hopeful for attending the tournament.
