Mid-autumn festival attracts thousands of children

A mid-autumn festival took place in Hanoi’s Westlake Water Park on the evening of September 22 in the presence of National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu, former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh and city authorities.

The event was organised by the Vietnam Association for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (VAPRC) in coordination with the Hanoi Entertainment Services JSC, Vietnam Television, Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training and the Lien Tam Investment and Development JSC.

At the festival, NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu wished all children good health and asked them to study well so that their grandparents, parents and society can take pride in them.

The event attracted thousands of children from 100 primary schools and 1,000 disadvantaged children in Hanoi’s 29 districts.

Students from Hanoi Architecture University created 100 banquets of flowers in the shape of dragons in celebration of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
