Activities for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2011 will take place at the Vietnam Arts and Culture Exhibition Centre at 2 Hoa Lu Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi, from September 9th to 12th, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
During this year’s Festival, children will have an opportunity to see artistic performances, play folk-games and enjoy mid-autumn festival cakes and fruit.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also called “Moon Festival”, is one of the four important festivals in Vietnam. On this day, there are interesting activities like lion dances, which are performed by both amateur children groups and professional groups; lion dance groups perform on the streets to entertain people, especially children.
This annual activity shows concerns of the Party, State and community for children.
