HCMC – The international machine tools and metalworking technology exhibition (Metalex Vietnam) and the international electronics manufacturing technology trade exhibition and conference (Nepcon Vietnam) open on Thursday in HCMC, featuring over 700 global brands from 25 countries and territories.
Some 500 exhibitors will showcase the latest equipment and technology at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Phu My Hung new urban area in District 7, said organizer Reed Tradex of Thailand.
Metalex and Nepcon will showcase machinery and equipment in the categories of machine tools, welding technology, factory automation, pumps and valves, material handling, molds and dyes and control measurement among others.
Chainarong Limpkittisin, managing director of Reed Tradex, said the two expos are ready to kick off the all-under-one-roof meeting center of the manufacturing community, which opens doors for Vietnamese industrialists to discover how they can heighten their product quality and productivity and expand their production with new machine tools, metalworking technology and electronics manufacturing technology.
He said that industrialists in Vietnam will get to experience ‘Titan’ the Robot worth over US$100,000 which was flown in direct from the UK.
The world-famous giant robot was designed and built by Cyberstein Robots Ltd in Cornwall, England for research purposes but its amazing abilities to entertain crowds are soon discovered.
Limpkittisin said: “There are only 5 Titans in the world, and it is our honor to be able to bring one of them to perform at Metalex and Nepcon Vietnam.”
Titan’s body is proof of the excellence in the machine tools and metalworking innovations and its abilities are the testament of the peak of electronic technology, so Titan’s performances will inspire the industrialists and bring to them the future of technology which is available now.
Reed Tradex’s purpose for bringing Titan to Vietnam is not to present the advanced robot technology, but rather to present the innovation born from the synergy of robotic and electronic technology through the creativity of its founders to inspire new ideas for industrialists in Vietnam. Titan will perform three times daily throughout the shows.
