Message of Hanoi aired on Discovery

A scene in the film "City of Millennium"

Four documentary films about the City of Hanoi will be broadcast in the program Travel & Living, attracting up to 280 million TV-viewers, on Discovery Channel in Asia-Pacific region this May.

Under a project, the First Filmmaker Vietnam supported by the Ford Foundation, the documentaries were strictly selected from 86 screenplays.

The four documentaries of 24 minutes each, include “City of Millennium” by director Nguyen Manh Ha, “Warriors fight against traffic jam” by Vietnam Television’s sub-editor Phan Duy Linh, “Uncle Long’s Mobile Cinema” by sports-caster, Nguyen Manh Cuong, and “Exhumation” by documentary film director Dao Thanh Tung.

The broadcast films will send TV-viewers a message of Hanoi, the oldest and the most animated urban centre of Vietnam, which is changing to be a super-city with big shopping centres.
