Mekong River tourism introduced in Germany

The Hanoi Times - Germany’s Gebeco Travel Company has introduced Mekong River tourism in Germany, o­n the fringe of the Asia-Pacific Week 2009 in Berlin.

Mr. Schumacher, a representative from Gebeco, represented landscapes and famous hotspots of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and other countries along Mekong River through hundreds of photos.

Attendees were attracted to the world’s cultural heritages such as, Halong Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Relic, Angkor, and Luang Prabang, with specific and unique cultural traits and tourism products.

Mr. Schumacher also introduced flights from Germany to Vietnam, Thailand and Vietnam local flights, and air services from Vietnam to Phnom Penh, Siemriep, Vientiane, and Luang Prabang.

This event was attended by nearly 400 German and international visitors and representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy and other Southeast Asian countries.

Gebeco is German’s second largest travel company operating in 16 fields, such as, culture, research, exploration, religion, and adventure tourism. The company has previously organized tours for thousands of German tourists to Asia, Africa, and South America
