(CPV) – A meeting on Vietnam’s urban landscapes will be held by the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with Vietnam Urban Forum and the World Bank on November 7 to mark Vietnam Urban Day on November 8.
(CPV) – A meeting on Vietnam’s urban landscapes will be held by the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with Vietnam Urban Forum and the World Bank on November 7 to mark Vietnam Urban Day on November 8.
The meeting will focus on an action plan of the Vietnam Urban Forum towards urban sustainable development, assessments on Vietnam’s urbanisation studied by the World Bank in 2011, introducing the idea of setting up laws and decrees on investment management and construction instead of decree No 02/2006/ND-CP on new urban regulations, an agenda on Vietnam urban development for the 2011-2012 period. There will also be a signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The meeting is expected to attract 150 participants, including members of the governing body of the Vietnam Urban Forum, representatives of international organisations and representatives from big cities said the organising board.
Vietnam Urban Day which was set up in 2008 aims at international integration in urban planning and investment to make Vietnam urban approach of an international standard and improve the quality of lives of urban people.
