The athletes will exchange expertise while the audience will be introduced to elite fighting techniques in Vietnamese Martial Arts specialties such as sword, knives and other weapons.
Around 1,000 students will perform a synchronized parade at the opening ceremony of the festival.
According to the Hanoi Martial Arts Federation general secretary Le Ngoc Quang, the festival’s main goal is not competition per se; rather it is to introduce the various Vietnamese traditional martial arts disciplines.
