PANO - The Quang Nam People’s Committee decided to reward troops of Vietnam Marine Police Zone 2 for rescuing the “QNa 91594”, a fishing boat, on June 17th.
The 320-HP boat, steered by Captain Tran Ben in Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province, ran into trouble with its engine off Bong Bay Island in Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands.
Upon receiving a mayday signal, the Marine Police immediately sent a rescue boat to rescue the boat in distress and save 12 fishermen.
