A court in southern Vietnam sentenced a 21-year-old man to death for killing a woman colleague in office, and, in a gruesome act, possibly having sex with her corpse, with his movements caught by office security cameras, VnExpress reported Wednesday.
Tran Vuong Nhut Tan was sentenced Tuesday for the murder and rape of 38-year-old Le Thi Viet, an English and Japanese interpreter and sales manager at the Framar Group VN in Binh Duong two months ago.
According to prosecutors, on February 16, after drinking with friends, Tan had gone back to Framar, where he worked as chief of security.
Finding Viet sleeping, he broke into her room, and strangled and then raped her.

The two had reportedly quarreled in the past though it is not known if that was the cause of his brutal acts.
After that he left for the southern resort town of Vung Tau to look for prostitutes, the news website quoted prosecutors as saying.
He was arrested two days later when he went to a Binh Duong police station to inquire about Viet's death.
