“Little footballer” practical television program launched

PANO – A practical television program, entitled “The Little Footballer”, was officially launched on June 13th at Hanoi’s Daewoo Hotel with the participation of Oh Nak Young, the Envoy of the Republic of Korea, Nguyen Trong Hy, the Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation and Cho Chung Yun, Chairman of the Korean Football Federation.

The program, jointly organised by the Department of Sport, Entertainment and Economic Information, under the Vietnam Television Channel VTV 3, and TJB One Member Marketing Communications Company Ltd., aims to create an interesting playground for children, find talents for Vietnam’s football as well as help children to achieve their dream of becoming professional footballers in future.

The program involves footballer Hong Son, famous comedians Tu Long and Thanh Trung and MC Duong Linh Huong.

Wit financial assistance from the Lotte Group of the Republic of Korea, a Vietnamese “Lotte Little Footballer Team” will be formed with ten footballers, aged from six to eight. Through activities, children will have chance to learn how to work in a team and how to love and share with other people. They will also have an opportunity to go to leisure centres and to visit HCMC and the Republic of Korea.

Since its first program on KBS Channel in 2007, at present there have been 500 childrens football clubs in RoK.

The program in Vietnam will be broadcast over 22 weeks on VTV3 from August 28th, between 5.30pm and 6pm.
