PANO – Brigade 139, under the Liaison and Information Arms on August 24th launched the Sports Festival 2011 in the presence of Colonel Nguyen Van Luan, Deputy-Director of the Department of Military Training and Colonel Vu Anh Van, Deputy-Commander and Chief-of-Staff of Liaison and Information Arms.
Accordingly, 350 athletes and trainers from seven teams of units of Liaison and Information Arms will compete in men’s volleyball, strong soldiers, K91 huddle race, military practical swimming, advanced K54 shooting lesson 1 and 5 and advanced AK shooting lesson 5.
The festival reviews sports training quality of units as well as to find the most outstanding athletes for the coming whole-army sports festival in November 2011.
After the opening ceremony, athletes competed in two categories of volleyball and strong soldiers.
