Letter to future generations to be opened in 2110

The People’s Committee of Hanoi held a ceremony on March 30th to hand over a special letter, “Letter to future generations”, which will be opend 100 years from now in October 2110, to the National Archive Centre III, under the State Archive Department.

The People’s Committee of Hanoi held a ceremony on March 30 th to hand over a special letter, “Letter to future generations”, which will be opend 100 years from now in October 2110, to the National Archive Centre III, under the State Archive Department.

The one thousand-word letter, carved on a 102x65 bronze sheet, was compiled by the Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, experts and researchers. It was one of the projects to mark the 1000 th anniversary of Thang Long–Ha Noi, launched by the People’s Committee of Hanoi.

The letter, showing the respect to ancestors, the sentiment and the pride of present Vietnamese generation to future generations, is aimed to make contributions to preserving and promoting cultural values and the millennium of Thang Long–Hanoi.

According to Mr. Nghi, the letter will also help future Vietnamese generations learn more about the millennium of Thang Long–Hanoi.
