Poliburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Truong Tan Sang yesterday met with secretary general of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi and special advisor to the Japanese government Tadashi Maeda.

Sang affirmed Viet Nam's policies of attaching importance to developing comprehensive relations with Japan. He spoke highly of the effective co-operation between the two legislative bodies, as well as the two parliamentary organisations which, he said, contributed to boosting the two countries' strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia.
Sang asked the two to help promote relations between the two countries, especially in economics, trade, investment and culture.
Yamaguchi affirmed the alliance would join hands with its Vietnamese counterpart to help implement effectively the commitments between the two governments. — VNS
