The Vietnamese Party and State always create the most favourable conditions for Overseas Vietnamese to invest in Vietnam and to contribute to the national construction cause.
Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan made the affirmation at the opening ceremony of the meeting for leaders of Overseas Vietnamese organisations in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on November 11, with over 150 Overseas Vietnamese from 30 countries and territories worldwide taking part.
At the two-day event, delegates will hear reports and exchange experiences in activities of Overseas Vietnamese organisations, plus work out specific measures to promote the role and connect Overseas Vietnamese organisations worldwide for the global integration and national development.
They will be also introduced to the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress and policies of the Party and State about Vietnamese people living abroad.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs said that this event offers a chance for participants to share experiences and strengthen solidarity, helping the Vietnamese Party and State to continue perfecting the great national unity policy for Overseas Vietnamese around the world.
