(CPV) - The largest ever exhibition of Vietnamese pottery in the US, named "Dragon and Lotus," is taking place at the Birmingham Museum of Art in Alabama, from January 22 nd to April 8 th . The owner of the exhibition is Dr. Donald Wood, responsible for Asian art in the museum, and John Stevenson, one of the leading experts on Asian art in America.

There are 200 Vietnamese ceramic artefacts displayed at the exhibition, including products made from the 15 th and 16 th Centuries in the characteristic blue and white colours. At the same time, the exhibition also launches a catalogue introducing the collection, including articles of the two art experts and Phillippe Truong, an independent ceramics expert Vietnam.

Talking about the exhibition, Dr. Donald Wood said this is an opportunity for the American public to admire the artworks, rarely seen in the US, and discover "the rich history of a country which not only plays an important role in American history, but also an important role in our future."

Birmingham Museum of Art began its collection of Vietnamese ceramic artefacts from the 1970s and now has the largest collection of Vietnamese ceramics in the US./.
