The National Guard High Command under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam on Feb. 23 has been awarded the First-class Medal of Freedom, one of the highest honours of Laos.
On behalf of the Lao government, Lao Minister of Public Security Thoongban Sengaphon handed over the award to the high command on Feb. 23 in Hanoi.
The award aims to honour the high command’s remarkable achievements in cooperating with Laos ’ National Guard Force, which contributed to deepening the solidarity and close friendship between the two countries’ public security forces.
Vietnam and Laos have enjoyed effective cooperation in military training and sharing experience to ensure security during visits of the two countries’ leaders.
At the award ceremony, representatives of the two sides pledged to strengthen cooperation in guard activities in order to further promote the friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, States and peoples.
