Under the messages “Donate blood to save people” and “Give a drop of blood, save a life”, after the opening ceremony, more than 200 volunteers out of 1,000 participants registered to donate 120 blood units.
In 2011, the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (Kon Tum General Hospital) associated with the Province’s authorities, offices and units to organise 27 blood donation programs, with participation of over 4,200 local residents and students and collected 1,380 blood units to help patients.
At present, Kon Tum Province has an online blood bank, with thousands of volunteers.
