(VOV) - Hirofumi Miyake, who is in charge of economic affairs of Japanese Embassy and leaders of Dien Bien Dong district inaugurated a two-storey building at Ta Te Primary School in Noong U village, Dien Bien province on February 9.
The Japanese Government provided VND1.49 billion out of the total investment of VND2.25 billion for the project.
Construction of the 6 classroom-building began in November 2010 by An Phu Company. When it is put into operation, it will help improve the quality of teaching and learning in remote areas for a large number of ethnic minority pupils.
In the 2011-2012 academic year, Ta Te Primary School has nearly 160 pupils from Ta Te A, Ta Te B and Thanh Ngam hamlets.
On the occasion, representatives from the Japanese Embassy and district leaders planted trees on the school’s campus.
