The contest received more than 40 articles from 23 news and media organisations throughout the country.
Mr. Tsuno Motonori, Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam pointed out that various activities of Japanese volunteers in Vietnam have been featured in many articles sent to this year’s contest and most of them reflected the heartbeat, emotion and friendship between Japanese and Vietnamese people as well as the blossoming cooperation between the two countries.
The prize-winners will take part in a three-week study tour combined with vocational training and natural environment protection in Japan from November 11th.
JICA Vietnam Media Awards was first launched in 2010 to mark the 15th anniversary of JICA's presence in Vietnam and to honour active contributions of reporters to the development of Vietnam-Japan relationship and to popularising JICA Vietnam’s activities.
