Alexandre Dumas’ classic story of the Three Musketeers is in for another slaughtering in the current remake directed by Paul W. S. Anderson.

This year’s version is in 3D as we go back to a wealthy 17th century Paris with the three fearless swordsmen of Anthos (Matthew Macfadyen), Porthos (Ray Stevenson) and Aramis (Luke Evans).

They are the Musketeers of the Guard who protect the King of France. But they are betrayed by Milady (Milla Jovovich), a beautiful lady who sells them out to the Duke of Buckingham (Orlando Bloom). After returning to France from Italy, the musketeers are forced to disband by Cardinal Richelieu (Christoph Waltz) due to Milady’s meddling.

Three years later, the appearance of the young, cocky D’Artagnan breaths new life into the old guard and the musketeers sense a chance to regain their former glory.

And their resurgence couldn’t have come at a better time as the French King’s life is in danger with the plotters behind Milady out to steal his throne.

The film debuts today in 3D and 2D in MegaStar, Galaxy, Cinebox, Thang Long, Dong Da, Lotte and BHD Star cinemas.
