The French and Chinese team shared the second prize, while the Canadian and host Vietnam team shared the third prize.
The impressive performance by Italian artists characterised the seven colours of the rainbow with the accompaniment of different background music pieces.
The French team staged a performance titled ‘Legend of Marble Mountain’, themed with a message: ‘Let your heart lead the way and arouse your senses’. The Chinese team also delighted audiences with a story from the land of cherry blossoms, portraying peace, happiness and harmony in society.
The annual fireworks competition added a joyous atmosphere to the 37th anniversary of the liberation of the South, National Reunification Day on April 30 and May Day.
‘Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2012’ awakened beautiful dreams as it lit up the Da Nang sky with sparkling colours accompanied with lively music and spectacular reflections on the Han River.
Through four previous very successful fireworks competitions, Da Nang has raised its image as a tourist city and an attractive destination for visitors from both home and abroad.
