Andrea Centazzo will perform on two Multimedia Concerts inspired by the History of Italian Unification.
The performances are inspired by the 1861 expedition of 1,000 volunteers led by General Giuseppe Garibaldi to fight for the unification of Italy. Andrea Centazzo will play interacting with images, live music, historical narration and his own emotional involvement, treating the audience to the discovering of new connections between sound and visuals
The concerts are part of the cultural activities in the 2011 Italy-Vietnam project, initiated by the Italian embassy in Vietnam to promote mutual understanding and relations between artists and people in the two countries, said Italian ambassador to Vietnam Lorenzo Angeloni.
Over 40 years of his artistic career, Centazzo has given more than 2,500 concerts and live performances in Europe, the US and Asia. He has recorded over 180 records and CDs and written 470 compositions, eight musicology books and 45 video films and multimedia performances. Since 1998, Centazzo has been dedicated to creating multimedia shows in which he merges his percussion with new digital media and video, which he processes and assembles into a unique art experience.
