The Hanoitimes - A TV series showing cooking competitions between leading chefs will be aired o­n national entertainment channel VTV3 from April 22.


The “Iron Chef TV” program, the first of its kind in Vietnam , will be shown at 11:00am o­n Sunday following the original Japanese version. Its copyright was bought by many leading TV stations in the UK , Canada , Australia , Finland , Sweden , Singapore , Malaysia , India and Thailand .


Each program will feature a cooking competition between a professional chef working for a restaurant or hotel in the nation and o­ne of the three famous cooks, namely David Thai (European dishes), Long Chef (Vietnamese dishes) and Yu Zhi Da (Asian dishes).


From a single major ingredient, competitors will have to make five different dishes within o­ne hour, which will then be given marks by the jury board.
